My letter to Art Dore that was never answered:Art: My name is David Taylor and I used to have a website named www.toughmanfan.com. Once upon a time, I was Toughman's biggest fan. In fact, I drove from Dallas to Tunica to watch the Light-Heavyweight tournament. You probably do not remember me, but I introduced myself to you in the hotel. I have no idea what your motives were for shutting down my website. I was not making any money off of the Toughman name. Quite the opposite, in fact. I have spent money for admission to numerous shows, for programs, t-shirts, and hats. I have spent my own money for web hosting, domain registration, travel, film, camera equipment, etc. Why? Just because I really enjoy watching Toughman and wanted a good website where I could share that with other people. I wanted a place where messages could be posted, opinions exchanged, and fights discussed. I did it for "the love of the game." So tell me, Art. Why did you shut me down? What imagined wrongs have I committed against you and Toughman? Why didn't you have the class (not to mention the common decency) to call me yourself instead of having your lawyer write me threatening letters? I put many hours into making my website a place that Toughman fans could enjoy, and you forced me to take it down. Why? I did nothing but promote Toughman and you did nothing but harass me. Congratulations, Art. You've turned your #1 Fan into someone who will not only NEVER attend another Toughman (or spend another dime for Toughman merchandise), but will personally spread the word about your actions to everyone I possibly can. Sincerely, David Taylor Go back to What Happened to The Original Toughman Fan Page?
